Job Title: IT Operations Manager
Department: Information Technology
Reports to: Director of IT
Status: Exempt
License: Requires a Class III Gaming License

SUMMARY: The IT Operations Manager’s role is to plan, organize, and manage staff and overall operations to ensure the stable operation of the organization’s IT infrastructure. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, and telecommunications systems. The IT Operations Manager will also schedule and direct activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion. The IT Operations manager role is also to ensure the secure operation of the in-house computer systems, servers, and network connections. This includes checking server and firewall logs, scrutinizing network traffic, establishing and updating virus scans, and troubleshooting. This person will also analyze and resolve security breaches and vulnerability issues in a timely and accurate fashion, and conduct user activity audits where required

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct and administrate a contingent of network technicians, and where necessary, conduct performance reviews and corrective action.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Formal Education & Certification
• High School Diploma or GED required. Four-year university degree or college diploma in the field of computer science and/or 5-7 years equivalent work experience. Certifications in Cisco, CompTIA Network+ recommended but not required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must obtain and maintain a New York State certification and St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Gaming Class III License which requires a criminal background check to be used solely for employment purposes. Successful candidates for employment must submit to and pass a drug test for illegal substances prior to employment being confirmed. In case of a positive result, the candidate is not eligible for employment with the Mohawk Gaming Enterprises. Employment will not begin until process is complete
